- The list of appraisal courses are a little confusing! Do I need to take all of the courses listed to satisfy the state requirements OTHER than my apprenticship??
If not what classes do I need?|
Different levels of Appraisal licensing require various course hours. For a Trainee license you will need 75 hours, Licensed Residential requires 150, Certified Residential is 200, and Certified General is 300 classroom hours. College education is also needed for Certified Residential (associates degree or higher) and Certified General (bachelors or higher). - Do you help with finding appraisal companies to fill in the hours needed before being able to take the state exam?

We do not recommend or recruit for Appraisal companies, however we can assist in your search via the internet and aid with career counseling. | | Hide |
- Will the homestudy kit prepare me to take the exam, or would I need to take a prep class. Does the price for the kit include all the materials needed, or would additional materials need to be purchased. Is there an estimated time it should take to complete the study kit.
| The homestudy program contains everything that you need to complete the course. It is a 60 hour course. If you feel that you need them, there are additional exm prep study aides available for purchase. We also offer a 3 day exam prep free of charge once our students have passed the homestudy portion. | | Hide |
- I received the requested information on your appraisal courses. It sounds like that a certain # of hours would have to be spent working with an appraiser, in addition to your courses, before I could sit for the licensing exam. Am I reading this correctly?
| You are correct. Depending on the licensing level you are working toward, the number of hours needed under a supervising appraiser varies. The categories are explained in the appraisal section of the website. | | Hide |
- What courses are requires for an Appraiser liscense and are they
offered on home study course?

website. Currently the courses are not available through homestudy, but that is

- What are the requirements to get brokers license?
| In order to obtain a broker's license, you must first be a saleperson for 3 years full-time and complete 180 hrs(4-45hour classes)of broker courses. Then you must sit for a broker exam. | | Hide |
- I plan to move to Virginia and continue my real estate career. I
currently have a real estate license in another state. Is the schooling/exam,
etc. transferable, or will I need to begin with the Principles of Real Estate
course again when I move to Virginia?

- Do you have to take the Real Estate and Exam prep course prior
to being able to take the Fundamentals of Appraisal Course?, also does the
Fundamentals of Appraisal course include the exam prep or do you have to attend
a separate course for that as well?

Appraisal courses, but it is a good foundation course to have. There is a
