• How does the job placement work after completing the courses to obtain a Real Estate License? How Long? I'm rather confused on the whole ordeal; I really want to start a career in Real Estate, but I am rather confused on how to do so. I'm only 19 years old, and I want to get started now.

  We do not do any direct job placement, however we do have real estate brokers that come to our classes to recruit new agents. Also, with your permission, we give students' names to brokers that do not have an opportunity to come to our classes.

• The list of appraisal courses are a little confusing! Do I need to take all of the courses listed to satisfy the state requirements OTHER than my apprenticship??

  You will need to take Fundamentals of Appraisal, Advanced Residential, Standards & Ethics and Small Residential Income in order to satisfy the 90 education requirement.

  The homestudy program contains everything that you need to complete the course. If you feel that you need them, there are additional exm prep study aides available for purchase.

• I received the requested information on your appraisal courses. It sounds like that a certain # of hours would have to be spent working with an appraiser, in addition to your courses, before I could sit for the licensing exam. Am I reading this correctly?

  You are correct. Depending on the licensing level you are working toward, the number of hours needed under a supervising appraiser varies. The categories are explained in the appraisal section of the website.

• What courses are requires for an Appraiser liscense and are they offered on home study course?

  The requirements are listed in the appraisal section of the website. Currently the courses are not available through homestudy, but that is a program that is going to be added to our offerings.

• What are the requirements to get brokers license?

  In order to obtain a broker's license, you must first be a saleperson for 3 years full-time and complete 180 hrs(4-45hour classes)of broker courses. Then you must sit for a broker exam.

• I plan to move to Virginia and continue my real estate career. I currently have a real estate license in another state. Is the schooling/exam, etc. transferable, or will I need to begin with the Principles of Real Estate course again when I move to Virginia?

  You would first need to contact the Virginia Real Estate Board to see what reciprocity we have with the state you are moving from. Their number is 804-367-8526

• Do you have to take the Real Estate and Exam prep course prior to being able to take the Fundamentals of Appraisal Course?, also does the Fundamentals of Appraisal course include the exam prep or do you have to attend a separate course for that as well?

  It is not required to take the Principles course before the Appraisal courses, but it is a good foundation course to have. There is a separate exam prep course for the Appraisal exam.
